Lawrence Sampleton is a former American football tight end in the National Football League for the Philadelphia Eagles. Sampleton played with the Eagles from 1982–1984 and then played with the Miami Dolphins in 1987. He was drafted by the Eagles in the second round of the 1982 NFL Draft. He was a Seguin Matador which then led him to play college football at the University of Texas at Austin. He has come home to Seguin to conduct the Annual Lawrence Sampleton Football Camp; to teach the kids about good nutrition, regular physical activity and improving their overall well-being.
