Lawrence Sampleton Football Camp
Saturday, June 22nd, former University of Texas and Philadelphia Eagles player, Lawrence Sampleton Jr. teamed up with Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Texas again for the Lawrence Sampleton Football Camp. The guest coaches were all retired NFL players Flozell Adams, Raymond Clayborne, Trent Brown and Stephen Braggs.
This camp is an extension of the Boys & Girls Clubs National Healthy Habits initiative. The camp is operated by the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Texas. Thanks to the ongoing support of our community, the camp is free and open to kids 6-14 years old. Our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us the most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.

Lawrence Sampleton
Lawrence Sampleton is a former American football tight end in the National Football League for the Philadelphia Eagles. Sampleton played with the Eagles from 1982–1984 and then played with the Miami Dolphins in 1987. He was drafted by the Eagles in the second round of the 1982 NFL Draft. He was a Seguin Matador which then led him to play college football at the University of Texas at Austin. He has come home to Seguin to conduct the Third Annual Lawrence Sampleton Football Camp; to teach the kids about good nutrition, regular physical activity and improving their overall well-being.

Flozell Adams
Flozell Adams is a former football offensive tackle. He played college football for Michigan State University. He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the second round of the 1998 NFL Draft. He also played for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Adams is a five-time Pro Bowl selection..

Raymond Clayborn
Raymond Clayborn is a former football cornerback, who played 12 years for the New England Patriots, he played for Cleveland Browns as well. Clayborn made it to the Pro Bowl three times with the Patriots. Before his NFL career, Clayborn played for the University of Texas at Austin.

Stephen Braggs
Stephen Braggs is a former NFL cornerback. He was drafted in 1987; he played seven seasons for the Cleveland Browns and the Miami Dolphins.

Trent Brown
Trent Brown is an offensive tackle for the Oakland Raiders of the NFL. He was drafted into the NFL in 2015 by the 49ers. He played college football for Georgia Military College and the University of Florida.
