Youth Development Professional: Torch CLUB Summer Leadership Camp Advisor (Luling)

The Youth Development Professionals role is providing daily programs, services and activities for Program Site club members, which are consistent with the organization’s youth development mission and goals. Youth development Professionals are primarily, but not exclusively, responsible for youth supervision, developing positive, productive relationships with students and overseeing the delivery of a broad range of programs such as Education, Social Recreation, Arts & Crafts, Sports-Fitness & Recreation and Healthy Lifestyles.

This person will work closely with the Unit Director and other Torch CLUB Advisors to plan & implement designated programs and activities that support Youth Development Outcomes for this age-group. The person will maintain Club program goals that ensure the health and safety of members. The Torch CLUB Advisor reports to the Unit Director.

Desired Documented Work Experience in:

    • Communicating with parents, students, employees and others;
    • Telephone etiquette;
    • Related study or work experience field;

Graphic Designer

The Graphic Designer is a contractor who will work with our Marketing Operations team to create and design digital media content that can be used in all aspects of the organization. The Graphic Designer must understand graphic design and possess skills in a variety of multimedia software programs. The contractor must be able to work independently, as well as within a team, complete tasks timely and work within client print and brand specifications.

Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent education;
  • Two or more years working in as a professional graphic designer or in a related role;
  • Documented experience using multimedia software programs;

Responsibilities:

Accounting Technician – San Marcos

This employee performs paraprofessional accounting and financial record keeping work of a complex
and specialized nature requiring the application of accounting, financial, and general office practices
and principles. Employees in this classification require in-depth knowledge of bookkeeping principles,

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Employees assigned to this classification are responsible for performing specialized
    bookkeeping and basic cost-accounting duties in which transactions require the use of
    considerable judgment.

    and accounting processes under a wide variety of circumstances.
  • Contacts are typically with other organization employees, vendors, customers, other

This position works 25 hours per week with occasional field trips, evenings
and weekends as needed. This person obeys all State and Federal Traffic regulations and laws, uses effective defensive driving techniques, attends and completes all required training to obtain & maintain safety and driver certification.

Education/Certification

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent;
  • Knowledge of routes; Ability to interpret schedules, forms and maps;
  • Must be able to pass a background check;
  • Must be able to pass drug testing procedures;
  • Have a clean driving record (Department of Public Safety);
  • Texas School Bus Drivers Certification or CDL License with Passenger Endorsement;
  • Desired Documented Work Experience:
  • Mass-passenger transport;
  • Basic Vehicle Maintenance;
  • Student Rider behavior management;
  • Working with little supervision.

Major Responsibilities
1. Work closely with the Transportation Director to plan & implement Transportation throughout the Academic Year and summer.
2. Maintain vehicles and report necessary vehicle service to the Transportation Director.
3. Ability to adjust to new job responsibilities as assigned.

Starting Salary: $15.50/hour
Days: Monday through Friday
Hours: 5:30 am – 8:00 am & 2:00pm – 5:00pm

Substitute Teacher – San Marcos

This position requires the ability to complete training and apply knowledge to continue the current education and instructional theories, methods, techniques of subject matter for students in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 6 in the absence of the classroom teacher.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Implement provided lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the school’s curriculum program.
  •  Maintain a classroom environment that fosters learning and is appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
  • Use technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.
  • Maintain open communication with parents, students, and staff.
  • Comply with state and school regulations and policies for classroom teachers.

Additional responsibilities:
All candidates must assume the cost for and complete a successful fingerprinting check with human resources prior to starting employment.

Qualifications:

  1. High school diploma or a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is preferred.
  2. One or more years of successful classroom experience with students is preferred.

Salary: $75.00 per day
Days: Monday through Friday, occasional evenings and weekends.
Hours: 7:30am – 4:00pm or as needed
